ABOUT THE ROLE
As our company continues to grow and our used car business expands, we're searching for a suitably qualified and experienced Automotive Service Technicianto join our highly trained, experienced reconditioning service workshop team.
If you have experience undertaking service and repairs on a range of vehicle makes and models, perhaps have diagnostic experience, or are keen to work in a reconditioning service workshop rather than retail workshop, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for! We're seeking some who takes pride in the quality of their workmanship skills, reliability and efficiency, complemented with a ‘can do' positive attitude.
This permanent full-time Monday to Friday role presents an exciting opportunity for the right applicant to come and work with a great team, where no two days are the same, exposed to a diverse range of quality used car stock.
We're looking for someone who has a passion for the industry, an eye for detail, is reliable, trustworthy and a strong team player who is willing to be rewarded in return for their hard work and loyalty.
KEY FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
- Receive vehicles, prioritising and completing job tasks within the specified timeframe as per the repair order and manufacturer requirements
- Conduct all vehicle servicing, diagnosis and repairs, documentation and road tests in an accurate and timely manner, in accordance with dealership and manufacturer requirements
- Detect and diagnose faults in engines and parts, transmissions and suspension systems - effectively troubleshooting problems with a variety of vehicles
- Maintain all equipment, tools and work bays in accordance with safe work practices
- Take all necessary precautions to prevent damage or loss to vehicles
- Participate in ongoing technical service and repairs training and development, including manufacturer training as required
- Complete work on time, to a high standard an in accordance with safety and quality control standards and manufacturer requirements
ABOUT YOU
- Certified Automotive Technician with relevant industry experience
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and continuous improvement capabilities
- Well developed franchise product knowledge and mechanical aptitude
- Strong eye for detail, high standard of quality and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
- Punctual, reliable and a high quality of workmanship
- Ability to work autonomously, efficiently, accurately and safely in a fast-paced, busy workshop
- A current manual driver’s licence and good driving record
- Experience with / accreditation in vehicle diagnostics and one or more of the quality brand represented by the LM Group is preferred and will be viewed favourably.
