Due to our ongoing growth, we are seeking an experiencedQuality Advisorto join the Saunders International team. The role will be based in Rhodes, New South Wales.
THE ROLE Responsibilities
- All QA/QC related work as required for the project completion.
- Assisting SHEQ & Project/Site Manager with the preparation of MDR’s, SHEQ Plans, ITP’s and Checklists for projects.
- Integrate Saunders International Health, Safety, Environment and Quality systems with those current at all projects. This will include retaining or developing systems that are required to address the specific nature of fabrication and construction activities.
- Ensures formal standards and regulatory codes appropriate to the organisation's needs are identified and applied throughout the organisation.
- Ensure Safe Act Observations (SAO) and workplace inspections are being carried out in line with SI goals.
- Preparation and compilation of all project specific ITP’s and compliance there under.
- Monitor and survey over project delivery compliance inclusive of subcontractors not limited to civil, structural, mechanical, piping, tanks, electrical and instrument.
- Ensuring overall SHEQ and QA plan implementation and compliance
- Carry out internal audits as per the company audit schedule.
- Carry out supplier/contractor audits as per the company audit schedule.
- Actively undertake SHEQ related activities in representation of Saunders International.
- Carry out Quality based activities within the scope of works during project delivery.
- Perform all work duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist the company wherever possible to ensure employees, clients and visitors comply with Saunders Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures at all times.
ABOUT YOU
Essential
- Trade Certificate or Degree
- General WHS Induction for Construction (White card)
- Welding Supervisor qualifications ie. WTIA AS1796-10, CSWIP 3.1 (level 2) Welding Inspector.
- Current C Class Licence
- Ability to communicate effectively within your team, and with other staff.
- Being flexible and open to different approaches, ideas, and ways of working to meet changing needs.
- Ability to articulate ideas clearly and listen actively.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
Desirable
- Welding Supervisor qualifications ie. WTIA AS1796-10, CSWIP 3.1 (level 2) Welding Inspector.
- Internal Audit Qualified.
- External/Lead Assessor Qualified.
- NACE Painting Inspector.
- Experience in tank building industry.
- Certificate IV OHS and Training
- AICIP / API 653 Inspector Qualified
- Previous experience using Aconex Document Management Tool
