This crucial upgrade will make the Warringah Freeway more efficient and reliable through upgrading four kilometres of the Warringah Freeway, between High Street at North Sydney and Willoughby Road at Naremburn. Works also include connections to the future Western Harbour Tunnel and Beaches Link tunnel projects.The Warringah Freeway is one of the nation's busiest and most complex road corridors and as Sydney continues to grow, the upgrade will make trips more efficient and reliable for the drivers who use it every day.Your opportunityReporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Advisor will be responsible for the monitoring of site works and contractors to ensure the integrity of works on a daily basis. You will have experience in Quality Assurance reporting and be able to manage multiple civil works inputs. This role is based in North Sydney.Your responsibilities in the role will include:
- Actively develop/recommend inspections, sample techniques, quality control plans, process control procedures and test analysis to ensure that products meet specifications and standards
- Proactively document quality issues and performance measures for management review
- Prepare audit reports summarising production and quality issues together with recommending corrective actions
- Educate stake holders/ line managers on quality benchmarks for the project
- Administer the relevant systems utilised for monitoring and documenting quality issues/actions
- Monitor and communicate quality standards on the project
- Understand compliance and reporting procedures and processes
- Perform all duties in accordance with CPB policies, procedures, processes and systems
- Tertiary qualification preferably in Civil Engineering
- Internal Auditor and/or Lead Auditor qualifications highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience working on large construction projects
- Experience in Project Management is highly regarded
- Be confident in managing multiple stakeholders at all levels
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in a complex demanding environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Completion of an applicable course from the Institute of Applied Technology - Construction will be highly regarded. For more info on I-ATC
