The West Gate Tunnel is a partnership between the Victorian Government and Transurban. The Joint Venture has been chosen as the preferred contractor for construction, which will begin in 2018 following planning assessment.
About the Project
The West Gate Tunnel Project is a city-shaping project that will deliver a vital alternative to the West Gate Bridge, provide quicker and safer journeys, and remove thousands of trucks off residential streets.

The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to the Quality Management team by objectively assessing, reporting on and managing quality at the Precast facility.
As the Quality Advisor some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Ownership & coordination of the Quality Management System for Matchcast Bridge Segments (post tensioned)
- Enhance design, construction and commercial outcomes
- Day to day coordination on quality-related aspects to ensure the successful safe & quality production in line with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP's) & accuracy of Quality Check Sheets
- Management & coordination of Work Lots (per element) creation and close out.
- Creation & updates to ITP's & Check Lists based on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with the department Production Manager(s) to develop overarching manufacturing plans and product specific Work Instructions.
- Auditing & surveillance of off-site vendors & suppliers
- Reporting on quality statistics
- Ideally 3-5 years' experience in an identical or similar role within a Construction / Manufacturing site.
- Knowledge of Quality Management processes in a Precast environment
- Skills in monitoring, reviewing, reporting and continuous improvement on performance and compliance
- Reporting, auditing and risk management procedures and processes
- Development of Inspection & Test Plans, Work Instructions and quality checklists
- Understanding or ability to interpret specifications, contract requirements, drawings etc.
