Quality Assurance Role

An excellent opportunity for the right candidate to oversee the Quality Assurance function at All Food Systems, an Australian owned dry ingredient blender operating at Wacol, Brisbane.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve the company food safety and quality management systems.
• Ensure ongoing certification to HACCP, Safe Food Production QLD and BCC requirements.
• Respond to customer queries and investigate complaints via root cause analysis. Work collaboratively with operations to implement corrective and preventative action.
• Issue and update finished product specifications and PIF’s.
• Oversee internal and external audit processes, ensuring corrective actions are closed out in an acceptable and timely manner.
• Review daily production records to ensure compliance to the food safety and quality system.
• Identify training needs and conduct staff training in accordance with internal protocols.
• Provide ongoing support to all staff on quality and food safety matters

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

• Tertiary qualified in Food Technology or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 to 5 years work experience in a quality role within the food industry.
• Working knowledge of HACCP and Safe Food QLD certification requirements
• Internal auditing experience
• Understanding of Australian Food Legislation, including labelling requirements
• Good PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Competency in the use of FoodWorks or similar nutrition analysis software would be advantageous.
