We are seeking an experienced QA Manager on a permanent, full-time basis to lead and develop our friendly and professional Quality team located at our Northgate facility.
Reporting to the Global Head of Quality, this key function leadership role will provide management and leadership for the QA function for Metagenics including; strategic development, commercial awareness, business processes to ensure that the products supplied, and processes undertaken by Metagenics meet GMP and all technical, regulatory requirements and specifications.
This key appointment will additionally oversee the quality requirements for products exported to Metagenics Asia and North America markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Quality strategies, plans and goals by establishing Quality Policies, objectives, and targets for the Quality Assurance Team
- Establish the quality compliance formwork in line with regulatory bodies such as TGA, FSANZ, Qld Health and DAFF
- Plan, organise, develop and ensure training in Quality systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and Quality requirements in the manufacture of therapeutic and food products
- Improve development practices to raise quality
- Provide technical assistance to management in all Quality and related activities ensuring Metagenics complies with the requirements of the TGA Stability Guidelines
- Support and collaborate with other areas to generate and supply information which assists their areas decision making processes regarding product quality
- Drive systems, processes and Quality team to meet corporate expectations
- Provide leadership to QA personnel to ensure compliance and adherence to quality
- Promote effective cross-functional teamwork and inter-departmental collaboration
- Continuously review, evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the Quality framework with the QA Team and the broader business systems to meet business objectives
- Effectively lead and manage the performance and development of the QA Team as a whole and individual team members to build organisational capability
- Organise resources and analyse the utilisation of resources both human and equipment to continuously improve the operations and business outcomes
- Manage QA operating costs with respect to the approved budget
To succeed in this role you will need…
- Tertiary qualifications in one of the following fields of applied Science- Chemistry, Food Technology or Microbiology
- Well-rounded people management and leadership skills with ability to drive culture, delegate responsibility, as well as influence and inspire the team- management experience in a GMP manufacturing environment within Quality Assurance- highly regarded
- Strong Auditing Skills (Internal & External)
- Experience in managing all aspects of Quality Assurance and compliance management procedures within a GMP environment (TGA, FSANZ)
- Experience in leading validations of assays, equipment, processes and facilities
- Highly developed analytical competency with the ability to develop logical solutions based on data
- Experience in a manufacturing and packaging environment in a complementary Heath Care environment- highly regarded
- An innate ability to build productive partnerships cross-functionally
