The Opportunity

  • Administer and optimise the electronic quality management systems, particularly the Learning Management System (LMS) for the ACDP site.
  • Develop & coordinate quality & compliance activities across a range of ISO standards

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance professional to join the CSIRO Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness (ACDP) and provide advice, coordination, and support for the quality systems particularly the Learning & Document Management Systems. ACDP has an established quality and environmental framework (Integrated Management System – IMS) and you will work directly in supporting and expanding our accreditation in ISO9001, ISO17025, ISO14001 and ISO17043. The team are also required to support studies conducted according to OECD Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and drive future accreditations in ISO17034 and ISO35001. This is a hands on role and as the QA Advisor you will guide and collaborate with staff across a range of areas in the implementation and adoption of various ISO standards and as a part of the QA Team, you will be responsible for continually improving ACDP’s quality culture, processes, and environmental impact as part of the QA team.

Your duties will include:

  • Administering ACDP’s electronic Learning Management System (SuccessFactors) and Quality Management System (Q-Pulse).
  • Acting as first point of contact for quality system users across site, providing training, support, and advice to Business Units in the use of ACDP’s electronic Quality Management Systems.
  • Driving and supporting the ongoing implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of ACDP’s electronic Quality Management Systems, including ACDP’s LMS (SuccessFactors).
  • Effectively manage and maintain ACDP’s training procedure across site (including associated training matrix and system).
  • Supporting the implementation of harmonised Quality Assurance (QA) at ACDP through technical support.
  • Building and maintaining strong, positive partnering relationships with customers, Business Unit partners and staff and QA corporate citizen champions through developing a thorough understanding of their respective QA needs and tailoring solutions.
  • Contributing to evaluating shortfalls in working towards QA compliance and support operational plans to expand existing accreditations and future accreditations in GLP, ISO 17034 and ISO 35001.
  • Supporting the QA internal audit schedule and program and periodic reporting to Study Directors and Management.
  • Assisting with management of external audits (regulators, sponsors, customers).
  • Assisting in the preparation of the IMS objectives and targets (KPI’s) for Senior Management which assesses the effectiveness of all elements of the integrated management system in meeting the objectives of the facility and the requirements of ISO Standards.
  • Supporting the QA Authorised Representative and QA Team in executing all responsibilities including providing oversight and continuous improvement of the IMS.

Location: Geelong, Victoria

Salary: AU$89k - AU$101k plus up to 15.4% superannuation

Tenure: Specified term ending 02, January 2026 / Full-time

To be considered you will need:

  • Relevant Degree and or equivalent experience in biological sciences, training and development, quality management or in a similar role.
  • A sound understanding of QA standards and processes such as ISO9001, ISO17025, ISO14001, ISO17043 and ISO17034, and their application.
  • Prior experience working within a quality management system framework with demonstrated ability to prepare procedures and work instructions to support consistent use of electronic quality systems.
  • Prior experience in quality system administration and demonstrated ability to configure, maintain and optimise new and existing quality systems, e.g., experience working as a Document Coordinator, Training Co-ordinator, System Administrator, or similar role.
  • Demonstrable experience as an advisor and contributor to teams and networks of scientific and industry colleagues, with a proven ability to foster a culture of knowledge transfer, open communication, coaching and collaboration.
