AddressWe are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Quality Assurance Consultant with a Food Scientist Background to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring our products not only meet regulatory standards but also satisfy our high-quality benchmarks. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing formulation advice, conducting research, developing processes for product development, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

We create a range of high-quality products, including frozen ready meals, vitamin gummies, and bars. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide formulation advice and conduct research to support the development of frozen ready meals, vitamin gummies, and bars.
- Lead process development for new product formulations, focusing on ketogenic diet foods.
- Serve as the claims expert, ensuring all product claims are substantiated and compliant.
- Act as the labels and packaging advisor, ensuring all product labels and packaging meet regulatory requirements and NIPs are calculated correctly.
- Ensure compliance with TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) and FSANZ (Food Standards Australia New Zealand) regulations.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to validate product ideas and ensure their feasibility and compliance with Australian market regulations.
- Document all processes meticulously, ensuring excellent writing and documentation standards are maintained.
- Liase with suppliers and manufacturers as well as customs/freight companies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in Quality Assurance within the food industry, particularly in ketogenic diet foods.
- In-depth knowledge of TGA and FSANZ regulations.
- Proven expertise in claims validation, label compliance, and packaging advisory.
- Strong research and process development skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, particularly marketing.
