About the Role
Teys Australia is seeking an enthusiastic Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our Rockhampton processing site in Central Queensland. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation and application of AQIS approved arrangements and AUSMEAT and MSQ programs to meet Quality Assurance, Environmental and WHS compliance.
Reporting to our Quality Assurance Manager, you will oversee our standard operating procedures, ensuring specifications are current, available and being followed by the rest of the team.
Other activities include effectively resolve disputes related to MSQA and AUSMEAT programs providing support to mitigate breaches, identifying recurring issues and developing corrective and preventive actions alongside with other Supervisors and Managers, while actively participating in internal and external audits.
About You
It is essential that you have the following experience/skills:
- Three (3) years’ experience in a production/loading area of an export abattoir.
- Knowledge and experience (or the ability to gain) in application of HACCP principles in an export food environment.
- Possession of (or ability to gain) relevant AUSMEAT accreditation.
- Knowledge of and experience in application of the Export Meat Orders, MSQA and AUSMEAT program requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to write work instructions.
Desirable:
- HACCP accreditation.
- AUSMEAT Beef accreditation.
- Internal auditing accreditation.
