Job Summary:
The Technology Transfer Lead - Quality is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the successful transfer of new technologies, formulations, and processes from development to production, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, cost-effectiveness, performance, safety, and environmental responsibility. This role requires a strategic problem solver with a strong background in project management, Quality Assurance, and continuous improvement. The Technology Transfer Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research and development (R&D), manufacturing, supply chain, and regulatory affairs, to ensure seamless integration of new products and processes into the company's portfolio.
This roles reports to Qualtiy and Technical Services Manager
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the Technology Transfer process, ensuring that all quality aspects are considered and integrated into the project plan.
- Develop and validate new formulations, processes, and systems in collaboration with R&D and manufacturing teams.
- Implement robust project management practices to oversee projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements and timelines.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements throughout the product life cycle.
- Collaborate with marketing and consumer insights teams to translate technical achievements into consumer-relevant claims and benefits.
- Build and maintain strong external partnerships with suppliers, consultants, and industry experts to foster innovation and expedite product development.
- Define and supervise key performance indicators to measure the success of Technology Transfer projects.
- Inspection of incoming imported products.
- Facilitate cross-functional post launch technical review.
- Product launch readiness assessment.
- Update Safety Data Sheet for products.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in product development and/or Quality Assurance.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation, and validation of new formulations and processes.
- Knowledge of safety, sustainability, and environmental regulations applicable to the industry.
- Knowledge of Quality Management System.
Preferred Requirements:
- SAP experience.
- Knowledge of data analytics.
- Quality Assurance auditing experience.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of successful Technology Transfer and project management.
- Experience with statistical tools and experimental design for product and process optimisation.
