The Opportunity
Reporting to the Executive Operations Co-Ordinator, you’ll work collaboratively with our Safety & Quality Team to ensure our products and services meet required safety, regulatory, quality, and commercial standards with maximum efficiency and minimal losses and advocate for continuous improvement.
This includes the inspection of raw material, packing process, finished goods, stocks, dispatch, personnel, and facilities against customer and VFP set standards. Completing relevant records, inspection results according to documented inspection and test procedures and communicating any deviations to interested parties. The QC assistant will collect all shed operations records and ensure they are verified prior to filing.
Summary of functions
Ensure compliance with GMP policies, HACCP, QMS and good housekeeping throughout the facility
Perform quality inspections of produce and generate reporting against customer specifications
Working with the QHSE team to develop and review WHS procedures and processes
Verification of daily documentation to ensure that they are complete and correct
Preparing and printing daily documentation for Customer orders
Assist in representing the business during audits and other matters ensuring compliance to standards
Investigating and reporting corrective actions for Customer Complaints
Printing of labels and barcodes and filing of documentation
Assist with troubleshooting and investigating any non-compliance in QC
Performing temperature and water checks throughout the facility
Verification of packaging, labelling and date codes
Assist with induction of new staff members
Maintaining daily retention samples and packaging
Assist in completing start of life and end of life shelf life testing (Challenge Test)
