RCPA are seeking a motivated Quality Control (QC) Co-Ordinator to work within our friendly and supportive team where your contribution is highly valued. Ideally you will have previous experience within the QC manufacturing environment.  Utilising your existing skills, you will learn new competencies as part of our growing team with training and development opportunities encouraged.  

Your Key Responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Maintain a high level of understanding of AS/NZS 4058:2007 (Precast Concrete Pipes (pressure & non-pressure)
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of RMS QA Specification R11 (Stormwater drainage)
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of the RCPA Quality Management System
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of RCPA product specifications – materials & dimensions.
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of ISO9001 requirements.
  • Engage with National RCPA resources when needed to ensure compliance to system requirements &/or knowledge transfer.
  • Conduct routine process control checks per required schedule. For example: ‘Daily Audits’
  • Conduct Product Testing, including but not limited to:
    • Product load testing (Proof, Ultimate, Type)
    • Water Absorption
    • Concrete Strength
    • Moisture content (Raw Materials)
  • Inspect and sentence non-conforming product
    • Seconds & Rejects
  • Track, measure and report on rejects and repair
  • Drive quality and continuous improvement opportunities through data analysis and RCA activities 
  • Assist in training of production operators to support thorough knowledge of quality standards
  • Assist in quality related issue/incident investigations
  • Maintain required data input from quality function. For example:
    • Audit results
    • Testing
    • Product sentencing
    • Investigations
  • Enter quality issues into the QSI database as required
  • Regularly review QSI database and contribute where assigned.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements in products, materials, processes, and systems
  • Review, recommend and participate in the development of improvements to quality procedures and work instructions to support the ISO 9001 system and compliance.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Driver’s License.
  • Batchelor of Mechanical or Chemical Engineer

Desired:

  • Forklift License
  • Background in Concrete Manfacturing.
