Quality Coordinator

John Flynn Private Hospital has a permanent part time, 48 hours per fortnight, opportunity for a motivated Registered Nurse to join our Quality and Risk Department.
About the Role
The Quality Coordinator will assist to foster and support a culture, in line with the Ramsay Way within John Flynn Private Hospital that strives to continually improve patient and business outcomes in line with the relevant National Standards, accreditation program and other regulatory requirements.
Reporting to the Quality and Risk Manager, this position will work predominantly with clinical areas however will also have exposure to non-clinical departments to assist, support and guide all facets of quality initiatives and risk management principles.

• Qualifications and registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Demonstrated understanding of the principles underpinning clinical governance, quality and risk management.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Australian Commission on Safety & Quality in Health Care National Standards and their application across clinical, support and corporate services.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of evidence based practice and its application to bring about positive organisational change.
• Demonstrated ability to implement, monitor and evaluate governance and quality programs, including the ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with all levels of staff, patients and external agencies.
• Well-developed interpersonal and people management skills, planning, organisational, analytical and evaluation skills and abilities, including presentation skills.

Remuneration
A base hourly rate of $60.18 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances (QLD RN/RM Level 3 Year 1).

The Hospital
John Flynn Private Hospital is a 354 bed acute care hospital located at Tugun, on the southern end of the Gold Coast. The hospital provides services to the population of the Gold Coast and the Tweed Coast extending into the NSW Northern Rivers area.

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
