About the Role
Primo Foods have an exciting opportunity available for a Quality Coordinator – Suppliers to join the Wacol team on a permanent full-time basis. This role is responsible for the supply of raw materials (meat), ingredients and packaging to ensure they are supplied as per specifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage the raw materials (meat), packaging and ingredients to ensure compliance to specification.
- Review the raw material and packaging specifications routinely.
- Monitor the results, trend and analyse the data.
- Participate in the internal audit schedule.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide accurate and timely data for internal customers & colleagues.
- Create NCRs in preparation for supplier claims for any out of specification products.
- Analyse deliveries of packaging and labels to ensure compliance to the relevant requirements.
- Assist with the management and the maintenance of the QMS.
- Troubleshooting - assist production with any product or process quality issues
- Assess and analyse raw materials and packaging identified as possible non-compliant.
- Aid in the investigation to any relevant customer complaints.
- Oversee relevant non-conformance and corrective / preventative action processes.
- Raise and issue Corrective Action Requests as required.
- Participate in third party audits as required.
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in Food Science/Food Technology or other relevant science discipline
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Internal Auditor skills essential
- Lead Auditor qualification with auditing experience desirable.
- Knowledge of VACCP/TACCP
- Experience in packaging and label artwork approvals desirable.
- Working knowledge of customer and certification standards preferable
- Experience in the Meat Industry highly regarded.
- Knowledge of Food Standards Code
- Experience in or ability to liaise with suppliers.
- Experience in iLeader highly regarded.
- Competent in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel & Word
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
