Job description:
The Opportunity:
This role will focus on the Systems, Services and Projects for our Shepparton facility, It's a unique and dynamic position accountable for delivering quality and Food Safety excellence. This role will be instrumental in providing leadership and technical guidance to the Quality function and cross functional stakeholders.
The Accountabilities :
- Management of the site's Quality Management System
- Oversee Quality requirements of NPD, Enablers and site projects to ensure compliance
- Oversight of QA Laboratory; 7-day operation
- Lead a team of direct and indirect reports to develop and implement best practice Quality and Food Safety systems
- Provide direction and leadership for the quality leaders to ensure systems are developed, implemented, and maintained to a high standard and regulatory requirements are fulfilled.
- Development of the annual systems verification schedule.
The Ingredients for Success:
Just like you can't make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;
- 3-5 years in a similar role with proven experience in leading and managing teams
- Tertiary degree in Food Science, Science, Engineering or equivalent as a minimum
- Practical experience and/or training in Quality Management Systems (SQF)/HACCP programs and Quality Auditing
- Experience and working knowledge of SQF and retailer standards (Accredited SQF practitioner)
- Excellent problem solving ability using Root Cause Analysis methodology
- Thermal processing knowledge and understanding would be highly desirable
