Quality Engineer

UGL’s New Energy national business unit is experiencing rapid growth and we need motivated and capable people to join our team. UGL’s in-house engineering and design capability, together with our strong project delivery and operations and maintenance expertise puts us in a strong position in the market. Our target project opportunities include Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and Wind Projects, as well as Hydrogen and Ammonia projects.The UGL New Energy Team is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to work on our existing Battery Storage System (BESS) Project located in Collie Western Australia (WA).This is a site-based position on a FIFO/DIDO rosterAbout the role

• Ensure final product complies with all standards and specifications developed, including the final approval of the consis
• Work with Operation to ensure all Quality (workmanship and standards compliance) requirements associated with the scope of work are fully understood and carried out
• Communication of changed process documentation to stakeholders and to ensure planned introduction across all location
• Responsible for the implementation and delivery of the quality improvement strategy in line with agreed goals and objectives

About You

• Electrical/Mechanical Trade qualification
• Proven inspector of final product and/or service and previous experience in quality function in renewable/utility EPCM projects is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks and simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
• Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
• Proven commitment to promoting safety, quality, and environment compliance on site.
