Goldfields Off Road Services is currently seeking an experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineer/Quality Control Engineer with a keen interest in the 4x4 industry and passion for quality workmanship.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize 4wd light commercial vehicle upgrade for our clients' fleet of vehicles
- Organize and oversee the process of 4wd light commercial vehicle upgrade are getting according to Vehicle Standard Australian Design Rule
- Establish standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance according to engineering principles and safety regulations
- Design and optimizing mechanical systems integral to vehicles, such as engines, transmissions, and chassis components during the process of upgrade.
- Establish and oversee the quality of 4wd light commercial vehicle upgrades and maintenance.
- Inspect vehicle upgrades and ensure that optimum performance and integrity are maintained
- Design light commercial vehicle modified components, test and prepare for manufacturing depending on clients requirements
- Perform 4wd light commercial vehicle modification and upgrade for mining and government fleets and ensure that ready for registration
- Plan maintenance for both Government and Mining Light commercial vehicle upgrade as per manufacture specified interval.
- Oversee and control quality of workshop mechanical, electrical and modification standard
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Production/Process Engineer
- Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in [industry/sector].
- 4wd and light/commercial vehicle experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
