Quality Engineering Capability Tech Lead

Our client is currently undertaking a large scale technology and delivery transformation program and one of the key stakeholders and contributors to the program is the internal Data Engineering & Technology (DET) domain.

They are on the lookout for a Quality Engineering Capability Tech Lead
that will be responsible for developing, hosting, maintaining, and making adoptable a range of reusable QE capabilities to enable platform and application delivery squads to transition from traditional legacy testing and QA to a QE approach within their area.  This role will provide technical leadership for this function, and be part of the delivery team producing the required QE capabilities and assisting platform squads in adopting them.

Responsibilities:

• identifying, creating, maintaining, and managing the central technical implementations of QE capabilities required for DET platform and application delivery squads to successfully deliver program outcomes
• providing enablement activities (knowledge transfer, training, hands-on adoption) for DET delivery squads to adopt and use those capabilities successfully within company's federated delivery model
• continually improving capabilities based on stakeholder feedback, DET delivery squad needs, and forward projection
• establishing best practice standards, guidelines, and patterns for QE and related technical implementations within DET
• selecting and introducing appropriate tooling related to QE capabilities
• collaborating with similar specialties within other program delivery areas and any associated enterprise functions to promote reuse, common practices, and common tooling where possible
• shifting capabilities left, to be as close to the data engineering space as possible and unlocking development potential, not just for testing or quality assurance activities
• providing status reporting for capability requirement, buildout, and adoption into the Domain Quality Management function and relevant program status reporting forums
• providing domain reporting input related to QE and quality management outcomes within DET
• supplying permanent specialist technical resourcing into platform and application squads, through partnering arrangements or individual placements
• being a technical QE SME for consulting with data platform and application squads
