Client Our client is an Australian family-owned market leader in the extremely competitive 'Value Added' or 'Convenience' sector. With their exciting and innovative food product range, they supply the majority of supermarkets in this important and rapidly growing retail sector. Role Reporting to the Group Technical & Compliance Manager, this role will be responsible for the quality and Food Safety program for the main production site, including working closely with the NPD team to effectively execute new products. We are seeking someone who has the industry experience in food manufacturing and can move from a quality check approach to a quality assurance approach. The Quality and Food Safety team of around 20 staff report to this role. Ideally the incumbent will already be operating in a Quality or Technical Management position in a food manufacturing environment (preferably for a perishable product such as, for example dairy products or meat). The role could also suit someone who has 5 years or more experience in quality assurance who has the ability to step up to a Technical Management position. To do so they would need some knowledge of legislation around Food Safety, solid experience operating within a number of food quality systems (HACCP, SQF, Organic and the like) and the ability to lead a team to achieve compliance and create a culture of continuous improvement.
