Here at Mars Wrigley (MW), we have an engaging opportunity for a Site Q&FS Manager to join the Quality & Food Safety team based at our growing Asquith site.

You’ll play a key role leading all initiatives to develop, approve, implement & validate Food Safety, quality and legal standards.

In this role, it will be your responsibility to ensure all processes, controls, systems and tools are in place to support Mars’ ongoing mission of quality excellence.

The jobholder will lead the site Q&FS team  and is the custodian of all Site KQA’s, Food Safety CCPs, SOPs and Quality systems.

As an important member of the Factory Management Team, you will work with cross-functional peers to achieve the site strategy and ambition. 

What are we looking for? 

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline 
• Proven experience in quality and Food Safety management systems implementation.
• 5+ years of direct Quality Management experience, preferably in an FMCG manufacturing environment 
• Advanced people and team leadership skills, demonstrated experience influencing peers and driving engagement and performance in own team. 
• Experience in the management of Food Safety, including the implementation of HACCP requirements, training plans and micro testing.
• Knowledge and application of quality assurance principles and methods of inspection, corrective and preventive action planning, customer satisfaction, internal audit, and continuous improvement 

What will be your key responsibilities? 

• Drive Site Q&FS agenda: Deploy and Maintain the Mars Quality Culture and the Mars Quality Management System. You’ll work with Manufacturing, Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure quality and Food Safety standards are deployed and adhered to. 
• Quality and Incident Management: Develop, implement and maintain robust factory Quality management systems and be accountable for Q&FS incident management in collaboration with the factory management team 
• Team Development: Lead the Asquith Site Q&FS team, manage the team objectives and through coaching, performance support, and development planning 
• Representing & Influencing: Represent R&D as a full business partner on the Factory Management Team. You may represent Asquith in regional and global Q&FS forums, standards development, groups etc. 
• Manage Frameworks: Cascade global Q&FS policies, procedures and best practices to the team or where appropriate, develops local policies, procedures and ways of working.
