Seeking an QMS Engineer with proven experience in automotive/medtech to set up a brand new quality system and obtain required certifications

The Company:
Our client, located 3 kms south-east of the Melbourne CBD, is a world leader in their medtech field with many registered patents in their industry and acknowledged by Harvard Medical School has having "commensurate with gold standard laboratory measures”.
The Role:
As our client steps into the automotive and health industries with their innovative product, this QMS Engineer role has been created to enable a brand new set up of a Quality Management System and to obtain various ISO certifications. As a professional and experienced QMS Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in Quality Management Systems and certification processes, and be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust set of procedures to ensure compliance with relevant standards, including ISO certifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive the company's growth while ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in their products.
Key Skills and Experienced Required:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ certifications) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Quality Management roles within highly regulated industries, preferably automotive or medical device sectors. Experience with ISO certification processes is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Quality Management principles, ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 26262), and regulatory requirements (FDA, CE marking). Strong analytical skills and familiarity with statistical tools for quality analysis.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to cross-functional teams and external auditors.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and quality requirements.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and drive alignment towards quality objectives.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs and regulatory landscapes.
