We are on the lookout for a Quality Officer to join our QA team!
As our Quality Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to deliver wholesome, high-quality food across Australia. Under the guidance of the Head of Quality, this role will help uphold our high safety and quality standards, ensuring that every dish we serve is not only delicious but also meets the highest industry benchmarks.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about making a significant impact in food safety and quality in a dynamic environment. Main duties include:
- Implement and maintain the quality management system, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular quality checks and audits to ensure continuous adherence to company standards.
- Manage documentation and prepare for external regulatory audits.
- Contribute to initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of quality processes.
- Prepare labelling information, including nutritional information panels.
- Collaborate with various teams to integrate quality assurance practices throughout the food production lifecycle.
- Develop and deliver training materials to enhance team knowledge and practices in quality assurance.
- Support supplier selection and audits, ensuring all materials meet quality requirements.
- Analyse quality data and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Investigate quality issues and participate in developing corrective actions and preventive measures.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Quality Assurance, or relevant industry experience.
- 1-2 years in a QA role, preferably in the food service or catering industry.
- Familiarity with HACCP, ISO 22000, or similar quality systems with working knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Experience in using FoodWorks nutritional labelling software or similar will be highly regarded
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills with the ability to connect with people at all levels of the business;
