About the role
QualTech operates four NATA-accredited laboratories in Tasmania, serving the construction industry with a wide array of materials testing and analysis services for both internal and external clients. Additionally, we provide consulting expertise in all aspects of Construction Materials Testing (CMT).
To support our expanding operations, QualTech seeks an experienced and driven individual for the role of Operations Manager. As Operations Manager, you will oversee a range of responsibilities, including leadership and mentorship of our team, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
Your focus will be on the safe and efficient management of our laboratories statewide, maintaining the highest standards of customer service. You will collaborate closely with internal departments and external stakeholders, fostering a proactive culture of continuous improvement and a can-do attitude.
Key Requirements for Success:
- Commitment to our Safety 1st Always Works culture
- Experience in a Materials Testing Laboratory
- Knowledge of Concrete Mix Design, Asphalt Mix Design, or Quarry Materials
- Previous experience in effectively managing, mentoring, and leading employees
- Strong business acumen, capable of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including community engagement
- Tertiary qualification and/or Diploma in Business Management, or relevant work experience preferred
