Overview

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with the Spot Trading, Forward Trading, Portfolio and Commercial teams to develop and support quantitative tools for Australian Gas and Electricity physical and contract markets
  • Support the development, maintenance and quality control for quantitative models including Load Forecasts, Asset Operation Optimisation, Contract, Option and Complex Products Valuations.
  • Work together with Head of Analytics or Principal Analyst Quantitative Modelling on complex, ill-defined tasks (i.e. gather requirements, come up with design, implement and test)
  • Ensure that the analytical work is complete to a high standard and on time, while regularly communicating the status of the project to Principal Analyst Quantitative Modelling
  • Run analytics and data processes for internal stakeholders ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Develop and automate reports
  • Proactively suggest new possibilities for analytics/projects to the Principal Analyst Quantitative Modelling

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will bring forward your technical programming skills including experience in SQL, Microsoft Excel and coding in R and Python, ideally in the energy industry.

You will also have strong mathematical background, quantitative and statistical skills.

The Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) business unit is the fully integrated trading arm of the ENGIE Group. GEMS teams manage a large and highly diversified energy portfolio, including electricity, natural gas, biomass, LNG and other fuels, CO2 and environmental products, and provide a range of trading risk management solutions to all types of market participants in Europe, Asia Pacific and in the Americas.   • Support the development and the operations of the other GBUs in all aspects related to risk representation and risk management
