Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

About the role 

We are currently looking for a Super Star! - Who is a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator looking at the next stage in their career. By putting your skills and experiences to the test in developing and maintaining the current business capability, whilst strengthening the planning and strategy department.  

What skills and experience will help drive success at BM OnDemand?

• Assist in developing project and cost estimates for clients in both the residential housing and commercial retails sectors.  
• Obtain trade quotations & ensure trade coverage for competitive pricing structure.
• Build strong relationships with residential and commercial property portfolio clients and strata managers. 
• Create client project quotes, manage variational claims, create invoices and progress payments.
• Schedule work and assist planning staff in the management and execution of approved works.
• Review & sign-off quotes prior to sending to ensure accuracy
• Manage with consultants the project financials and analyse estimates and forecast costs to ensure they are accurate and will be maintained within budget allocation.
• Have solid reporting and writing skills.

Key Selection Criteria 

• Substantial experience in a similar role, preferably in commercial fit outs and retail shop upgrades as well as residential housing from minor to large building fabric renovations.
• Proven experience in pre and post contract including costs planning, analysis, contract administration and estimating.
• Proven estimating ability and / or quantity surveying experience including the preparation of engineering estimates, quotes, or tenders. 

About you 

• Minimum Building Surveying Practitioner Technician or Level 2 Building Surveying registration in Western Australia.
• Degree or TAFE Qualifications in building. 
• Strata, Building Management, or Commercial fit out background ideal, however not essential
• Experience and knowhow in MS Office, including Project; Cubit and CostX
• Ideal candidates must be located in Perth, WA.
