TriCal Australia are seeking to Employ Assistant Fumigators to join our existing Team.
We are willing to provide Full Training and Licensing to the successful applicants.
Essential Criteria
- Permeant Resident/Australian Citizen
- Current South Australian Drivers Licence
- Physically Fit
- Ability to follow instructions, common sense and Can-do approach
- Must be a Team player with honesty and integrity
- Reliable with the ability to perform Overtime on rostered weekends
- Clean Shaven with the ability to work in a fully enclosed mask
- Tech/APP savvy with strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Competency with math equations
Desirable Criteria
- Forklift Licence
- MR Truck Licence
- First Aid Qualifications
- Previous experience in Biosecurity treatments or Pest Control
Job Description
The role will see you initially work with at least one Qualified Pest Management Technician and travel between our client’s sites predominately in the Port Adelaide/Outer Harbor area with some of our clients in country areas, so some country travel will be required with some overnight stays required.
You will be assisting the Technicians in providing Biosecurity treatments in (Import/Export Shipping containers, Sheeted stacks, Chambers and Silos). Physical fitness/strength is required to open and close shipping container doors and maneuver equipment. Our Treatment reporting is mostly Phone APP based, so confidence in using APP based programs is essential. You will be interacting with our clients, so you will require good presentation and communication skills
All our Treatments are carried out meeting all relevant Government Methodologies and Standards (DAFF, PIRSA, AWPCS, SAFEWORK) so attention to detail is required.
A 6-month probationary period applies with pre-employment medical and background checks with medical and blood testing throughout the employment period (to monitor exposure levels)
Salary is above the Pest Control Industry Award rate, regular Overtime is available (living away from home allowances) with uniform provided and you will be reporting to the National Fumigation QPS & Post Harvest Supervisor.
