We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and professional Quarry Operator to join our experienced Byford Quarry hard rock mining & processing team. Situated 38km south of Perth City, 28km East of Rockingham & 36km Northeast of Mandurah, Byford Quarry is an established hard rock quarry with significant long-term reserves ideally located to service the growing southern Perth metro market.

As a part of the Hanson group, we are one of Australia's leading suppliers of heavy building materials. Our quarry operations incorporate drill & blast, load & haul along with fixed plant crushing and screening processes to supply quality aggregate products into the local building & construction markets. We are currently seeking an experienced operator to join our small team of highly competent operators. Within this role you will be working closely with site supervision, where your expertise and input will be highly valued, you will be given the support to work autonomously & will have the opportunity to join a long term experienced work group with historically very low staff turnover.

In your new role with us, you will:

• Operate Hitachi 690 Excavator in a production cycle as well as quarry maintenance & development tasks
• Operate loaders, rigid & articulated haul trucks, water carts & various other mobile plant as required
• Undertake mobile plant pre-starts & minor maintenance tasks
• Operate fixed plant crushing and screening equipment via computerised control room operations when required - training provided
• Participate in general inspections & minor maintenance to fix plant as required

This role is a great fit for you if you:

• Have experience operating heavy mobile equipment with excavator experience being highly regarded
• Have a positive and 'can do' attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop your skillset
• Have a flexible approach to work with the ability to undertake varying responsibilities as required in a small team environment
• A HR license will be regarded but not essential
• Voc's and national accreditation can be provided to experienced operators without current certificates of competency
