My client has over 30 years’ experience in the concrete and aggregate industry. They have several quarries across Victoria and are looking for an experienced supervisor to join their Bacchus Marsh Team!
Your new role
In this role you will play a big part in ensuring the Quarry & crushing plant is running smoothly, including operational planning and objectives to ensure that site requirements are met.
From day one your contribution to this company will help to promote a team culture focused on continuous improvement and will provide you with the scope to deliver important short and long-term improvements.
Your day-to-day duties will include but not limited to the following.
Assist the Quarry Manager in upholding compliance with company policies, procedures and standards across site.
Implementing effective planned maintenance schedules for plant & equipment.
Maintain the Quarry’s quality system, insuring compliance with, and communication of all health, safety, and environment requirements.
Operate any machinery (such as loader, excavator, or dump truck) when required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful applicant, you ideally have previous experience in supervisory positions within quarries and/or mines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Strong time management and organisational skills
Willingness to learn basic weighbridge operations.
Experience and tickets for at least two of the following machines - Front end loader, Excavator, Dozer and/or dump truck..
