Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
• To supervise and provide guidance to other members of the physics team, including Medical Physics Registrars, engineers and technical officers.
• To participate in multidisciplinary research, development, and teaching programs.

Please note: To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.
Essential Requirements:
- Licence: Holds or eligible to hold a current NSW EPA licence to use ionising radiation apparatus and radioactive substances
- Qualification: Master Degree majoring in Physics from an Australia or New Zealand tertiary institution or a tertiary institution approved by the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR).
- Registration: Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM) Certification in Radiation Oncology Medical Physics or in Radiotherapy Equipment Commissioning and Quality Assurance
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrate ability to work with little or no supervision in all areas of Radiation Oncology physics.
- Demonstrate skills in experimental clinical work, data analysis or scientific computing, research and education.
- Demonstrate a track record in commissioning, implementing and supporting Radiation Oncology technology, and advanced treatment planning and delivery techniques.
- Evidence of oral and written communication skills, and ability to work effectively in both multi-disciplinary teams and independently.
- Expertise with our local clinical systems such as Truebeam, Aria, Eclipse, Oncentra, Brainlab Elements, ExacTrac, Gulmay, MIM and Velocity is favourable but not essential.
