YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE
Peter Mac is looking for enthusiastic Radiation Therapists, dedicated to providing the best in patient care, to join our team.
Multiple positions including permanent and fixed term positions at Grade 1 and 2 level are available over coming months at our metropolitan campuses (Box Hill, Melbourne, Moorabbin and Sunshine). Applications from those seeking full time and part time positions are welcomed. This recruitment process will also be used to fill any further Grade 1 or 2 opportunities that may arise over the coming months; application from current final year students anticipating to graduate and achieve registration by August 2024 are welcome.
Classification will be aligned with the successful applicant's skills and experience.
At Peter Mac, you will enjoy the opportunity to work with the latest technology, including well equipped Varian Linacs, AlignRT and Eclipse treatment planning system. We have active SABR, SRS, SGRT and IGRT programs across all campuses. Our Melbourne campus includes a large brachytherapy service, Gamma Knife program and is Victoria's provider of paediatric RT services. Working at Peter Mac will provide you with a well-rounded experience to support your career development. We offer a new graduate RT program to help the new RT consolidate fundamental skills, acquire specialised skills and benefit from tailored clinical support, mentoring and education. The program, running for the first 12 months of employment post graduation, will consist of several core components, whilst encouraging flexibility and opportunity to explore and develop in personal areas of interest. Time will be made available for participants to engage in:
- ‘Transition to practice' framework which is an evidence based mentoring program designed to support developmental needs
- Regular RT specific tutorials delivered by clinical experts
- Structured peer-group meetings with other program participants
- ‘Learning on the Run' workshops
The program will also provide the graduate RT access to leading experts within the RT profession to support your clinical, research and academic goals.
