Copper Resources Australia acquired the Rocklands site located 17km north of Cloncurry in December 2020 and has undergone an intense re-commissioning phase of the process plant. The plant is now fully operational and the fixed Crushing Plant team forms part of the broader team involved in bringing copper from its raw state to a final product for export.
You will be:
Reporting to the Crushing Plant Supervisor and working as part of a team to complete tasks such as:
- Safely and effectively operating the Crushing Plant (including Jaw and Cone crushers).
- Safely and effectively operating all associated support equipment, including the excavator, front end loader and skid steer / bobcat.
- Working with various teams in the processing, mining and maintenance groups to ensure targets are met.
- Ability to safely work day and night shifts on a rotational basis.
- Support the process team, with general labouring assistance by operating hand and power tools and preparing worksites.
- Maintain a suitable level of physical fitness to carry out role which may require the employee to work at heights, lift objects, navigate their way over uneven ground and significant manual handling of tools and equipment.
The desired candidates will have the following:
- Previous experience leading small teams
- Knowledge and experience in crusher operations and processes highly desirable including jaw and cone crushers and Trio and Sandvik.
- Current manual driver’s license.
- Loader ticket (RII).
- Skid steer ticket (RII).
- Forklift Ticket / Gantry Crane ticket.
- Working at Heights / Confined Space (desirable).
- Desirable Excavator ticket (RII) up to 8 tonne.
- A commitment to Safe Work Practices and a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and able to work in hot and sometimes physically demanding conditions.
