Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking an experienced and client focused Radiation Therapist to join the Oncology team located at Townsville University Hospital. This position is on a permanent full-time basis.

The opportunity To provide routine radiation therapy services within a diverse team of Radiation Therapists with various skills and abilities to oncology patients whilst working as a member of a team in the following clinical areas:
- Radiation Therapy Treatment Unit
- Radiation Therapy Planning Unit
Role requirement
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Radiation Therapy) or recognised equivalent from a recognised Tertiary Institution.
- Membership with the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT).
- Current registration or eligible for registration in by AHPRA.
- Current or eligible for radiation license in Queensland.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
- Clinical expertise:
Proven knowledge of radiation therapy principles and procedures and treatment planning principles. - Team Participation/Communication:
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team. - Clinical Ability:
Proven knowledge and ability to apply radiation therapy treatment and planning principles. - Leadership:
Demonstrated ability or ability to acquire the skill to provide guidance to less experienced staff members and education to students.

Generous remuneration package value up to $132,730 p.a.comprising:
- Salary rates between $2941.70 - $4459.00 p.f. (HP3)
