Radiation Therapist: Training And Education Lead

GenesisCare is looking for an exceptional Training and Education Lead to join our Queensland team. This role will see you exploring the beautiful State of Queensland and enjoying all the benefits of working remote. With a strong focus on providing exceptional clinical expertise in best practice radiation therapy, across both pre-treatment and treatment techniques. You will support experienced Radiation Therapists and our new graduates across all our Queensland Clinics while working alongside our local teams and leadership groups to support the implementation of new initiatives.

More specifically, you will:

• Be available to provide clinical support to the practices when required and as required to maintain currency
• Lead RT practice and operational projects identified through RO and staff feedback
• Develop induction and training programs for new Radiation Therapists
• Play a key role in the completion of clinical projects sponsored by the CMC or CTC to ensure that all required documentation is current, staff are trained and credentialed, and audit programs are in place to determine whether project objectives are realised.
• Support new Radiation Therapists to the practice by ensuring they are supported in their skill development with both tuition and mentoring.
• Oversee and work closely with Centre Leaders to ensure site readiness for advanced simulation and treatment techniques to support patient access to best practice treatment.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

• Minimum five years post-graduation working in a clinical setting
• Bring a positive, enthusiastic and 'can-do' attitude to work
• Demonstrated advanced technical competence in some areas of radiotherapy (treatment and planning), including comprehensive knowledge of contemporary radiotherapy modalities and techniques
• Proven ability to demonstrate and implement leadership behaviours
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of radiotherapy and associated software and hardware
• Proven ability to influence and lead
• Experience in leading projects desirable
• Registration as a Radiation Therapist with AHPRA
• Demonstrated professional reliability, motivation, initiative and flexibility
