Radio / Communication Technician

Intro Recruitment are seeking experienced radio technicians looking for work based in Mt Isa area. Senior technician position!

Our client is pursuing dedicated workers with experience in installing and maintaining radio and telecommunication equipment on various mining hardware.
We are looking for a qualified Communication / Radio Technician to safely and effectively perform planned and breakdown maintenance tasks by working within a team and promoting site safety standards and ensuring the highest standards of work are conducted and maintained.
Reporting to the Communications Supervisor, you will have the ability to make decisions, work to meet deadlines and exceptional communication skills. The roster for this role is 7 on 7 off day Shift only.
The role will require you to be in a leadership position where you will be required to lead, monitor, and supervise a team to achieve common goals. You will be responsible for:

• Delegating tasks
• Setting deadlines
• Displaying positive communication
• Motivating
• Creating an open communication culture

A successful candidate will have:

• Trade qualified Radio/Communication Technician
• Mining experience is preferred but not essential
• Experience with Telephone, Optic Fibre, Radio RF/HF, Miri, PED, and Networking
• Experience with Automated machines
• Excellent trouble-shooting & problem solving skills
• Flexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detail
• Good time management skills and able to work well under pressure
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
• Good communication skills
• Willingness and ability to learn new processes
• Hold a current Australian Manual Drivers Licence
• Experience in SAP would be an advantage or similar system
• Experience in Excel would be an advantage
• A current manual driver's licence and the ability to travel as required
• The ability to pass a drug and alcohol/medical screening
