TDT Communications is an End to End Telecommunications Contractor based in Rockhampton. We have been in operation for over 5 years and have come to be one of the leading contracting companies in Central Queensland.
We have seen a significant growth over the last 12 months and are on the lookout for an experienced Optic Fibre Splicer and Technician to join our team and help us continue to grow.
Working primarily on the Telstra Fibre Network, you daily tasks may include -
- Installation and maintenance of data communications cabling and equipment
- Assessment of installation and maintenance requirements
- Planning and performing installations
- Testing installed equipment and fault finding
- Splice and Terminate Optical Fibre
- Install patch leads in exchanges
- OTDR testing and Workbook completion
To be considered for the position you will need to have -
- Formal qualifications in Fibre Splicing and Testing of Optical Fibre.
- Working within the Telstra CAN, and IEN Networks
- Telstra Wideband experience
- Construction White Card
- Right to Work in Australia
- Open C Class License
Highly Regarded Skills / Qualifications -
- First Aid & CPR Trained
- Carrier Network Equipment Installation
- ACMA License with endorsements.
