Radiocommunication Technician

Established in 2007, ECM Engineering is an industry leader in the wireless telecommunication, looking to hire full-time Radiocommunications Technicians.

Reporting to the team leader of the technical crew you will be proactively assisting in the integration and technical operations on telecommunications installation sites.

Duties will include:

• Installing and maintaining wireless network systems and equipment
• Reading and interpreting drawings and sites to successfully complete works to a high standard
• Installation of BTS, ELTEKS, PSUs wiring and cabling
• Install and Commissioning of OMS’s, RBS racks, Alarm and Power Distribution Panels, breakers and relevant network cabling.
• Configuring and integrating network and telecommunications technology including microwave links and transmission systems.
• Diagnosis, troubleshooting and Fault-finding
• Carry out post integration call tests to verify cell figurations, hand off parameters and call quality
• Adjusting, replacing and repairing faulty items
• Testing of cables for compliance with specifications
• Commissioning reports and data entry to IT systems as required,
• Following all Client and Industry specifications, standards and HSE guidelines
• Relevant documentation on completions of works including photographic documentation as required
• Ensuring all paperwork is job coded and is correctly submitted to head office in a timely manner

A successful candidate will have: 

• Telecommunications experience in the area of construction, install & commissioning with at least 2 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with 4G and 5G equipment
• An unwavering commitment to safe work practices
• An ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• An ability to problem solve
• A current Drivers Licence

For the right candidates we are offering a salary package of $70,000 - $85,000 per annum and the opportunity to be part of a great team.
