As aRadiopharmaceutical Scientist you will be manufacturing radiopharmaceutical products and their associated manufacturing devices. This is a dynamic role that will also provide opportunity to take on QA/QC tasks within a controlled laboratory environment This is a Brisbane based position with relocation support on offer if required.

As a Radiopharmaceutical Scientist you will bring your expertise to guide the small manufacturing team to deliver on key timelines and ensure that products are manufactured to essential specifications and regulatory requirements.
The manufacturing process focuses on two key elements – the manufacturing device and the radiopharmaceutical API. As such, each day brings variety as the processes are scaled up to ensure that critical clinical timelines are met. As the company evolves from R&D production to commercial production there will be a need to apply GMP guidelines to meet quality and regulatory requirements such as TGA and FDA.
Note that some early morning starts and night shifts will be required for this role.
Key tasks of this role include:
- Plan and perform analysis and manufacture of radiopharmaceutical APIs and devices
- Perform in-process and final product quality checks
- Support the transition and setup of equipment to the new facility (within Brisbane) including validation and verification activities
- Collaborate with external partners to support product development and manufacturing needs
- Training and supervising junior team members.
This role requires a background in either radiopharmaceuticals, medicinal chemistry, optics/photonics, or nuclear physics. We are seeking candidates who thrive on delivering high quality products and are highly driven to be part of this incredible team.
Other key requirements of this role include:
- A tertiary qualification in organic, medicinal or radiochemistry or equivalent; and 1-2 years’ experience in academia or relevant industry
- A strong understanding of manufacturing scale up including quality and regulatory frameworks such as GMP, ISO 9001, TGA and FDA
- Proven experience solving problems related to analytical procedures or manufacturing optimisation
- Hands-on experience with HPLC, MS or similar analytical instruments
- A Queensland Radiation Use Licence would be highly desired
- A positive approach and the ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
