Shoalhaven Starches operates the most advanced industry technology to process quality flour from our three flour mills and supply domestic and export markets with a range of gluten, starch, glucose, ethanol and stockfeed products to a variety of industries from food and confectionery to brewing and building.
We are seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join our Rail team based at our plant on the beautiful South Coast of NSW.
The Position will involve:
- Rail operations including train driving and shunting while adhering to safe working regulations and requirements
- Preparation and inspection of locomotives and wagons in accordance with operational procedures
- Ensuring that all work is performed with a ‘safety first’ attitude
- Safe operation of forklifts to load and unload wagons
The role will include availability to work across a 24/7 roster and flexibility to work shifts at short notice.
You will need:
- A strong focus on safety
- Qualifications and demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Current forklift licence (previous experience in 32T forklifts advantageous)
- Current drivers' licence
- A willingness to undertake ongoing training
- Flexibility to work a 24/7 roster
- Train driving qualifications and previous experience in rail yard operations will be highly regarded
