About the Role
The Ranger Coordinator position is responsible for working closely with NLC Caring for County (CFC) Service Manager and CFC Program staff, ensuring that the integration of Traditional Owner insights and stringent WH&S standards are at the forefront of all land and sea management activities. Based at the Kenbi Ranger Station this role is pivotal in supervising the works of the Kenbi Ranger team and conducting in-depth consultations with Traditional Owners to understand and prioritize their interests and goals for the Kenbi Aboriginal Land Trust.
This Coordinator role is hands on and I expected to lead, coordinate and monitor the ranger units operational service outcomes and performance in accordance with Kenbi ranger operational plans and NLC requirements. It also has a diverse array of key responsibilities and accountabilities across other key function such as: -

• Leadership
• Stakeholder Relationships
• Staff Management
• Work Health and Safety

What you will Bring
You will possess previous relevant experience and knowledge in operational works associated with Ranger functions such as weed management, fire management, patrol and contract management. Leading by example and fostering a culture of safety and wellbeing, especially when it comes promoting safety initiatives and ensuring that all operations on the Kenbi Aboriginal Land Trust are conducted in a manner that prioritizes the health and safety of the team and the community will come naturally to you.
In addition to this, you will have: -

• Minimum Certificate IV level Tertiary qualifications (for example: Conservation and Land Management) in a relevant field or extensive relevant and equivalent experience
• Minimum of two (2) years relevant supervisory experience leading a team
• Previous experience in undertaking Traditional Owner consultations and in the development of land and sea management projects, ideally with Aboriginal people but other cross-cultural experience may be relevant).
• Current C Class Drivers Licence.
