About the Role... 

The Rates team forms part of the Financial Services Department and contributes to the administration and customer service for the rating, billing, receivables and collections functions of Council.

In this role you will support critical legislative rating and business requirements, ensuring timely generation, provision and maintenance of rating, billing and data integrity, receiving’s and recovery of rates and sundry debtors.  In addition, you will be focused on delivering positive outcomes through the provision of effective customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

About You...

It’s important to us that you are the right fit to join our team, but just as important, that Playford is the right place for you.  We are seeking a customer focused individual who understands Local Government and its functions and has demonstrated experience in rating/billing, accounts receivables and collections work.

The successful candidate will also have a passion to deliver positive outcomes for our community and hold an interest in delivering continuous improvement opportunities. Strong skills in attention to detail and data integrity is essential along with an ability to prioritise your work.

Whilst formal qualifications in Local Government, Business or Finance and/or experience in a Rates or debt recovery environment are highly regarded, we encourage applicants with extensive practical experience to apply.

Incumbents in this position must be willing to gain or possess a satisfactory National Criminal History Clearance.
