R&D Tax Manager

The Accelerating Business Growth team helps Australian companies to grow their business in Australia and international markets by assessing their international readiness, accessing government incentives, and providing practical export trade and foreign investment advice.

The role:

You will help achieve the ambitious growth plans for this team through your involvement in the following:

● Manage the delivery of R&D Tax Incentive and Grant engagements and help identify new ways for them to accelerate their research, innovation and commercialisation goals.

● Act as performance development manager to a growing team of (senior) consultants and help mentor them on their professional journey.

● Work with other professionals to assist clients with other matters that arise from the above, including those relating to IP, structuring, finance and tax.

● Identify and pursue business development opportunities in the local market.

● Manage complex projects and deliver client engagements on time and within budget.

● Establish relationships with key stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem, such as the start-up incubator WSU Launchpad.

Skills and attributes:

● Three to five (or more) years of experience with the R&D tax incentive space is highly advantageous.

● Leadership skills and ambitions, and experience with or ambition to start leading a team.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client and commercial relationships.

● A strong work ethic and attention to detail with a history of exceptional client service.
