We are seeking a friendly, versatile Administration Manager for our long day care centre in Toowoomba. This position provides support to the Director, families and Educators and the successful applicant will be required to facilitate and maintain varied tasks across the Centre with excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
Mirambeena Children’s Centre is a not for profit, community based long day care centre offering quality care for children from 3 months to 5 years.
The successful applicant will be expected to work a full-time 38 hour week although flexible arrangements may be considered.
About the Role
This is a permanent role which will suit experienced, self-motivated administrators. It will involve customer service, human resources coordination, administration and bookkeeping functions and child care centre operations.
Primary responsibilities include:
- welcoming families and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- providing day to day administrative support to the Director, educators and families
- process and manage family and staff records
- financial support including family accounts, accounts payable, monthly journals, data entry and reporting, BAS, IAS
- payroll processing and associated HR tasks
Requirements – Skills and Experience
- professionalism, strong client focus, and a commitment to excellence
- previous administration experience preferably in child care
- experience with Xero accounting software preferable
- experience in administering Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- excellent verbal and written communication skills including minute taking
- high level of computer skills in Microsoft Office
- excellent organisational skills and ability to work autonomously
- experience with a child care management system will be highly regarded
- ability to prioritise a heavy workload and manage a busy environment with a positive attitude
- current Working with Children check (Blue Card) (under current legislation the applicant cannot commence work until their Blue Card has been issued)
- ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- an ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.
