What is a ReadyMixer Truck?
Essentially, it's a mobile concrete batching truck which allows you to batch concrete on-site. Traditionally, concrete is batched at a plant, then transported to the site in an Agitator truck.
With a ReadyMixer truck, materials are loaded into separate compartments. The operator just needs to select from a range of mix designs, then materials are dispensed from the system and conveyor belt into the mixing tank. Then, materials are mixed and ready to pour in a matter of minutes.
As this is a customer facing role, it's essential that you have excellent communication skills and enjoy customer interaction. You will be the face of Holcim, delivering our product across Sydney, to construction sites through to major infrastructure projects.
About you:
- It would be great if you have some exposure to concrete (either plant based or onsite construction), and/or agitator driving, however this isn't essential as full training will be provided on the ReadyMixer.
- You must hold a HR licence with a minimum 12 months on-road experience and have a good driving history
- A valid White Card
- Ability to learn technical aspects of concrete and raw materials
- Ability to understand and operate computer and ticketing systems
- Strong commitment to safety, health and environmental responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
