The role:

The Receptionist / Business Administrator is a critical role to our growing law firm. There can be great variety in every day, with key responsibilities including: reception duties, office and supply management for our Warragul base, customer service (phone and in person), business administration such as email and letter correspondence, and the opportunity to grow these functions with industry experience.

Whether part time or full time is your preference, we can negotiate on the hours to suit you between 9.00 AM and 5.00 PM Monday to Friday. The role is well supported by senior administration staff, conveyancing clerks and our Principal Lawyer, Rob Celada.

We are looking for the right person more than anything else, the right attitude and work ethic will trump qualifications or extensive prior experience in this function. You will have a friendly, professional, positive and proactive approach to providing the highest level of administrative support and customer service. 

You'll be a skilled all rounder in the office, demonstrate initiative and be confident working autonomously and as part of a collective team. You're reliable and consistent, take ownership and accountability for tasks, and go the extra mile where there is opportunity to contribute to a better work environment or outcome.

Key selection criteria: 

  1. Previous administration experience is a must, but there is opportunity to develop and learn in this capacity
  2. Well rounded interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people (both personally and via phone or written correspondence)
  3. Sound problem solving and time management skills, goal oriented and able to prioritise effectively
  4. Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing priorities
  5. Strong computer skills including ability to learn new software tools quickly
  6. Ability to uphold confidentiality and manage sensitive information
