Macquarie Psychology is home to a team of compassionate and highly skilled therapists based in Hobart, Tasmania. As a receptionist, your welcoming smile and efficient communication will set the tone for patients’ experiences. Your role directly supports our therapists and ensures smooth clinic operations. Your role matters! The position is casual, 2 days/week, with the ability to increase hours when necessary to cover staff leave.
Qualifications & experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a small team and independently as required
- Prior experience in a medical or healthcare setting is a plus
- Experience with cloud-based medical/appointment software desirable
Tasks & responsibilities
- Welcome patients, making them feel comfortable and valued.
- Handle incoming calls promptly and professionally,
- Coordinate patient appointments, ensuring accurate scheduling and timely reminders.
- Maintain organised records of patient appointments, medical history, and associated paperwork.
- Assist patients with billing inquiries, process payments, and manage invoicing procedures.
- Perform various office tasks, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
