Receptionist/Legal Administrator
JKB Lawyers is a small boutique law firm located close to Hastings Foreshore specialising in Family Law, Conveyancing, Probate/Estates and Wills. We are looking for a receptionist with legal experience to work four days a week (Thursdays off) with a view to spending three days at front desk and one day honing or learning new skills to support the other members of our close-knit team.
The successful candidate must have the following skills:
- Experience in a legal office
- Knowledge of family law, conveyancing and probate law preferred
- Good phone manner and communication skills
- Ability to be flexible and able to work well in a team and autonomously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Smokeball
- Ability to answer basic client other party enquiries
- Data entry, matter management and billing
- Strong attention to detail, display initiative, accuracy and calendar/file management
- Friendly with a good sense of humour
Duties include:
- Greeting clients/answering and management of incoming phone calls
- Managing electronic diary and appointments
- File creation, archiving and deed management
- Receipting office and trust funds
- Billing and accounts rendered
- General office housekeeping duties including maintaining and ordering office supplies and consumables
- Assistance to other members of the team when required
