your opportunity
As the Records Management Specialist, you'll be the backbone of our operations, driving critical backend processes such as Records Management, information requests, risk assessment, compliance, accreditation, document management, and governance. This important role responds to information requests, maintains the yourtown cloud-based Records Management systems, coordinates the safe storage and management of physical records, and provides advice on best practice.
In this position, you will:
• Create, integrate, implement, and enhance frameworks, policies, and procedures essential for proactive and effective governance practices.
• Lead & provide advice to internal stakeholders to create, retain and destroy records in accordance with yourtown policy and industry best practice.
• Coordinate requests for information from external stakeholders such as clients, law enforcement and other agencies.
• Assist in reporting on risk, compliance, and governance issues to facilitate informed decision-making for the Executive Leadership Team, Board, and Board Committees.
• Foster and promote a culture of continuous improvement across all areas of yourtown.

The right candidate for this role will:
• Hold tertiary qualifications and possess relevant experience in providing records & information support to an organisation.
• Showcase strong communication skills and are adept in liaising with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
• Advanced interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.
• Efficient time management and organisational skills, capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines in a setting with numerous competing priorities.
• Well-versed in interpreting and applying legal, industry standards, and contractual requirements to meet our commitments.
• Bring a dynamic, results-oriented attitude, and excel in an environment that embraces organisational change.
• Be a team player and willing to lean in to get the job done.
