About the role
Windermere's Recovery Support Program provides dedicated support to help affected families access the services and information they need to recover and start rebuilding their lives. Windermere provides a Statewdie intake and triage service, and our enhanced intake workers are the first point of contact for residents impacted by the flood event. You will undertake intake and assessment, and also pprvide interim recovery support for some residents. Your empathy, assessment and risk management skills, and trauma informed practice, are critical skills. Due to the widespread impact of the flood events we have multiple roles available, full time or part time by negotiation. These are fixed term toles until June 2023, with the possibility of extension pending funding. Windermere promotes a hybrid model of working from home and from our offices in Narre Warren, Pakenham and other Windermere sites. Desired Skills and Experience
This position is suited for Support Workers with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a trauma related program.
To be successful for this role, you will posses:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or relevant equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in case management, intake and assessment experience preferably in a trauma related program
