This job is more like an adventure…it’s a unique role where you help build strong, kind, relationships through bonding experiences.
We will train you in how to plan and lead a broad range of challenging recreation activities with a small community of people with disabilities, volunteers and our activity team.
We’re looking for someone with an enthusiasm for the widest variety of outdoor and challenging recreation activities, someone who knows how sharing bonding experiences can build strong relationships, someone who gets a kick out of imaging the wildest boldest activities and making them accessible to anyone, someone who may not know anything about disabilities but who does get the value of continually pushing the limits of what we can do, someone who might have experience in recreation, education, leadership or extreme playfulness but is looking for a job they didn’t know existed... And, finally, someone looking for belonging and purpose within a very small, strong community.
In your cover letter or note with your application can you nominate a recreation activity (or activities) that you might find fun or challenging?
We’re not trying to challenge you, it will just help us connect with you
