You will oversee the management and operation of recreation and community facilities, as well as provide advice on planning and future development of recreation and community facility infrastructure.35 hours per week, Monday - Friday.🚀 Your responsibilities:
- Providing leadership to the recreation planning and operations team.
- Offering strategic advice and services for recreation and community facility planning to internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing and operating recreation and community facilities, including overseeing allocations and developing management agreements.
- Reviewing, developing, and implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines for community needs and legislative requirements.
- Preparing community engagement tools to ensure community awareness and participation in planning projects.
- Conducting research, preparing reports and documents, and managing funding submissions for projects.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in sport, recreation, planning, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic recreation document development.
- Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Sound research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of legislative requirements and industry standards for recreation facilities.
- Leadership experience and ability to manage teams effectively.
- Experience in consultancy services and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Current Class C driver’s license.
- Knowledge of Local Government and experience with Native Title (desirable).
